Lab-Grown vs. Mined
Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined diamonds. They have the same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), the same refractive index, and the same brilliance.
The difference? Lab-grown diamonds are created in a controlled environment using technology that replicates the extreme heat and pressure conditions under which natural diamonds form. The process takes weeks rather than millions of years.
Even trained gemologists cannot distinguish a lab-grown diamond from a mined diamond with the naked eye. The only way to tell them apart is with specialised equipment.
